This was one of the last necks produced by Fender before CBS took over and started changing things. With its thick rosewood fingerboard, 7.25" fretboard radius and pearl dot inlays (which if the main distinguishing feature between this and the '62 Stratocaster neck), some argue that this was as good as it got, and it certainly is a very highly playable neck...!
