- Compatibility: Fender Guitars and Basses (Pre-CBS)
- Dimensions: Vintage Accurate
- Finish: Chrome Plating
- Markings: Pre-Plating Stamped '0001' - Serial Number of Gilmour's #0001 Stratocaster
Despite the fact that David Gilmour's guitar collection contains many high-ticket instruments (his first collectible guitar was a Gibson TV), one stands out shoulders above the rest: his infamous white 1954 Fender Stratocaster with serial number 0001.
Although the guitar wears the prestigious 0001first Fender serial number, it is believed to have been a show piece or a special build. The guitar was apparently Leo Fender's own guitar before being gifted to Seymour Duncan and than making its way into Pink Floyd.
As part of our accurate stamped pre-CBS neck plates, we are pleased to be able to offer this famous serial number for all your Gilmour fans. Created to the same vintage-accurate dimensions and specifications as the rest of our neck plates, these plates are the correct dimensions and thickness, with the right amount of bevel and contour on the corners, chrome plated with the correct, stamped, serial-number font (don't believe anybody who tells you Fender used different types of fonts on different years of production neck plates, it's not true), and are a direct replacement for any Fender guitar or bass (including Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Jazz Bass, Precision Bass, etc).
Carefully aged to replicate 50+ years of use, this neck plate comes with four mounting screws and is ideal either as a replacement for an original vintage instrument, or as a finishing touch for your vintage/Gilmour replica guitar project.
