The Fender Mary Kaye Stratocaster was a blonde 1954 slab-board, swamp-ash Stratocaster finished. Now one of the most expensive and collectible Fender instruments of all time, it was made famous by Mark Kaye - "the first lady of rock".
Although this colour has since been reintroduced by Fender in a number of tribute Kaye models, it is still extremely rare.
This body is available directly from us either in two-piece alder or swamp ash (for authenticity's sake the swamp ash is a high recommendation!), with the correct contours and worm route, and reliced to your liking. The two bodies shown in the photographs above are from two different ends of the relic scale - from a subtle and vintage accurate finish (closer to Olympic White), to a much thinner and well-worn finish where the grain and patterning from the swamp ash can be seen vividly through the finish. Let us know how you like it!
